Elijah Szasz
Strategic Operations Partner, Coach
The Wise Mind Group
Elijah bridges the gap between clinical theory and executive execution. A former technical agency founder: he understands the mechanics of high-pressure environments. Utilizing RO-DBT and a 21-day experimental framework: he helps achievers recalibrate their hardware to scale impact without sacrificing physiological health.

If You Spot It, You Got It.
Elijah did not come to this work through academia. He came to it through five years of extreme chronic back pain that vanished after discovering Dr. John Sarno's work on the mind-body connection. His nervous system had been generating real, debilitating pain as a distraction from repressed emotional material. That experience fundamentally changed how he understood his own body, his drive, and the cost of white-knuckle control over every variable in his life.
Years later, he married a psychotherapist who had independently built her practice on the same clinical foundation. The Wise Mind Group exists because both founders recognized the pattern in themselves before they ever addressed it in anyone else. Elijah is a serial entrepreneur, a biohacker, a former fitness professional, and 14 years sober. He is the archetype of the over-controlled temperament, and he works with people who are wired the same way.
"I built companies the same way I managed my pain: control every variable, push through, never stop. The work started when I realized that strategy was the problem, not the solution."
The Architecture of Flexibility.
Elijah’s work is centered on Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT). This clinical framework is specifically designed for the over-controlled temperament: the individuals whose high levels of self-control, though responsible for their success, have led to biological rigidity and social isolation.
To facilitate this shift, he utilizes a 21-day experimental container. This structured window allows clients to engage in self-experimentation without the pressure of permanent commitment. It provides the necessary data to audit the biological hardware of the nervous system and identify neural loops that are no longer serving them.
This is a methodology built for precision. We move beyond willpower and grit to target the underlying physiological signals. By committing to one behavioral shift for three weeks, we bypass decision fatigue and gather lived evidence of what actual flexibility feels like.
The Protocol
Audit the Hardware
We identify the biological signals of over-control. We look for the specific areas where your natural drive has shifted into a state of chronic threat and physiological tension.
Strategic Social Signaling
Using RO-DBT: we work on the external expressions that signal safety to the nervous system. The 21-day container allows you to test these new signals in high-stakes environments to see how the system responds.
Lived Data Integration
At the conclusion of the experiment: we analyze the results. We integrate the successful shifts into your executive workflow, ensuring your performance is built on a foundation of flexibility rather than white-knuckle control.
This approach was forged through Elijah’s own history of self-experimentation. A 21-day gratitude challenge followed by a 21-day sobriety experiment eventually led to 14 years of recovery. He uses these same structural containers to apply the rigor of RO-DBT to the high-performing mind.
How I Work With Clients
Elijah works globally with founders, executives, and high-performing professionals. The work is structured, direct, and built around outcomes: not open-ended exploration.
Performance Coaching
One-on-one work on the behavioral patterns that drive high performance and its hidden costs: burnout cycles, decision fatigue, relational withdrawal, and the inability to rest without guilt. Structured around the 21-day framework with clear metrics and accountability.
GlobalTechnical Advisory
Strategic guidance for founders and leadership teams on AI implementation, operational systems, and product strategy. This work draws from 19 years of building software and companies to optimize the intersection of technology and organizational performance.
GlobalHabit Architecture
Structured 21-day engagements targeting a single high-leverage behavioral change. Whether the lever is sleep, stress response, or relational patterns: the methodology creates a measurable container for change with clear evaluation criteria.
GlobalPractice Operations
Elijah built and manages the entire operational infrastructure of The Wise Mind Group: scheduling, intake, compliance, and technology. The same rigor and precision he brings to client work runs the practice itself.
Internal
Built by someone who gets it.
Elijah works with people who have spent their careers optimizing everything except the system running underneath. If you are effective, accomplished, and quietly exhausted by the cost of staying that way, this is a conversation worth having.
